Hey Damon . Need another cam recommendation . Got a buddy that wants a little more topend grunt cam . He's not want to do any alterations to the bottom end , and will consider a stall. Engine will most likely be a 360 and will top it with an airgap intake . He's gonna step up to a set of 1:88 valved heads , while using stock pistons . I'm thinking , though I could be wrong , but I think the majic number is 400hp.

Say Damon , Got another question for ya . Should something come up and decking the block can't be done to raise the compression . How do you feel about 11-1 pistons , or even 12-1 pistons for that matter ?

11:1 should be fine- 12 might be pushing it a bit with a street cam

We have a 318 poly with bent push rods. There is no apparent cause. Cam and lifters seem ok. The engine ran with one cal. missing. When we checked compression with no spark and plugs out, 4 more lifters were bent into severe s shapes. We have not opened to see timing chain, and have not yet pulled a head, but does anyone know of this with the poly engines?
