Hi I have a 59 Plymouth 318 poly motor and trans. Will this mount into the 1956 flathead kew motor mounts without much modification. The poly is out of a 59 Plymouth Belvedere RHD Australian 4 door hardtop. The car i want to put it in is a 1956 Plymouth Cranbrook Ute RHD Australian model. Thanks Ray Bell
Re: flathead 6 to 318 poly conversion.
Hi Deano... what you'd be best doing is finding a wrecked V8 Chrysler Royal or Wayfarer...
These shared the chassis of the '56 Plymouth and had the Poly with Powerflite up to '59 and the cast iron Torqueflite after that. All the bits and pieces you need, engine mounts, sump detail and so on, will be there for you to use or copy.
While I am on the road, I'm able to get on the net every day or so. Rodger

WoW
I was just thinking of using a A-318 that I have into a 1947 De Soto S-11 "Custom Sedan".
For the transmission I would like to keep the M-6.
