ANything can be done, but they are not a direct bolt on.....I am afraid to ask, but why would you want to?

Dunno about that...
Bolt pattern is actually the same, and seeing as I know that Poly heads have been put onto LA blocks I'd say the reverse is possible.
You'd need a Poly cam, of course, as the valve order is different, but one of the biggest issues is oil return from the valvegear. The blocks differ in this department.
Again, why? The Poly is seriously underestimated, some good work will take place on gasflowing the Poly soon and it will be interesting to see what eventuates.

Don't know what I was thinking on the bolts- beeen hours on end moving old posts here etc... but the valve gear issue bugs me...more so that unless the LA heads are ported, I think I'd take my chances and port the Poly heads,,,IMO chamber is better whadda you think Ray? BTW I PM;d you on this board did you get it?

Ahhh...I remember now- was answering a question about B1 stuff and thinking about the valley pan I again forgot to make a pattern for (reminded while sifting thru posts to transfer)....was thinking port pattern on the intake and bolt size for B1's- that translates to port pattern in my pea brain....need to make note to self not to answer questions when I am braindead...thanks for the catch Ray- went to the other board and fixed ...
